Snow Falls

I spent the morning today working on a test package that is part of my assignment for one of my classes. It’s a pretty involved project, and although I got an early start on it, it looks like I’ll need all the time allotted to get it finished and turned in. Like a goldfish that grows to the size of the bowl, my papers and assignments seem to expand in size right up to the deadline. Ick.

My knee has stopped swelling, and a visit to the doctor today was encouraging. There is still a noticeable bulge under the knee, but the doctor thinks it will go down as soon as long as I keep icing it down and don’t exercise it. I didn’t tell him that I’ve been doing some light yoga and sit ups in the mornings – no need to provoke him.

While I was walking around town running some errands it started snowing – the first snow that I’ve seen so far this season. Kuniko is used to it – her school is up in the mountains and they get snow a lot. There wasn’t enough to collect on the ground, just enough to blow around and look dramatic.

This weekend I’ll be working on my project, as well as sneaking off to a seminar on job searching for teachers in Japan. The seminar is in Osaka, so I may or may not meet Kuniko after work and go together. I’m not sure she’s so interested in a trek out in the cold, but that might be the highlight of Saturday and maybe we could grab some dinner while we’re out there.
