It took about 20 minutes after I watered all our plants outside for a freak thunderstorm to come in and rain for the first time in two weeks. Where that came from, I don’t know. The plants are thoroughly watered today. <\/p>\n
Today Kuniko has the day off from work, but does have to go into Kobe to attend a school party in the evening. I have a regular work schedule during the day, however, and then I’ll come home and have dinner on my own. Yesterday we got home later than expected and so we bought sushi at Vivre. The sushi was really good for store-bought sushi, and I can already tell that we’ll be craving it after a two week European diet.<\/p>\n
One of my students recorded a couple of travel shows off of NHK this week for me. He gave me a blu-ray disc containing 90 minutes of TV touring the southern part of the “Romantic Road” in Germany. Actually my student traveled this section of Germany on his own, right after graduating college. He got a big kick out of watching the footage – it brought back a lot of memories for him, and he wanted to show me what we have to look forward to. It looked beautiful, and watching it in high definition from the blu-ray was even better. Now we’re starting to get really excited about the trip…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
