It is quiet around here lately. \u00a0With the server crashed and the new one under gradual construction, we are a little limited in our musical library. \u00a0I can stream it from the iPhone, but it lacks the depth of what we’ve got stored on servers. And it skips if we use the microwave…<\/p>\n
Today at work was the first time for me to see some of my students after they returned from overseas trips. \u00a0We had three days off last week, and it is an easy matter to take the last two off and make nine consecutive holidays. \u00a0One student went to Italy, and on a whim suddenly took a high speed train from Venice to Paris to watch the start of the Tour De France, and then go back to Venice the same day. \u00a0That was a cool story. \u00a0 The rest of his trip seemed like it went well, but he was clearly exhausted and jetlagged. \u00a0Poor guy.<\/p>\n
Another student went to Laos and Vietnam. \u00a0His trip to Laos completed his quest to visit every Southeast Asian country. \u00a0He said that of all the countries he has visited, Laos was the least developed. \u00a0I mentally scratched it off my list after I heard that. \u00a0He spent just two nights there, and then spent the rest of the time in Hanoi and the outskirts.<\/p>\n
So it was great to hear some of the stories, and I can’t wait to hear even more after the holidays next month.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
