This weekend was another good chance to rest up, stay inside and out of the rain, and do some cooking and relaxing. I’m a big fan of doing nothing on the weekend – I spend 95% of my workday talking with students, and sometimes having a quiet weekend with Kuniko is just what the doctor ordered. <\/p>\n
The big topic this weekend was the terror attacks in Paris, France. It seems like this kind of thing is becoming more common unfortunately, but when I think about all the good people around the world, and the acts of kindness that happen every single day that don’t get a big media story, well, in my mind the good guys are coming out way ahead of the bad guys. We’ll be back in Paris – it is one of our favorite cities – and we’ll continue to travel regardless of these kinds of attacks. If we die traveling then so what? We die doing what we love. <\/p>\n
Speaking of doing what we love, we’re gearing up for a quick trip to Singapore. We’re going during the rainy season, but it’ll be warm and humid while we’re there. We plan on eating everything in sight – I’m bringing plenty of antacid just in case.
