Settling on Sushi

Yesterday and today are days where I get to meet my new students for the first time, so each day is another nine first impressions. So far it has been interesting to learn about each person and their challenges, strengths and weaknesses, but I’ll need to spend some quality time with them in the future to really get a grasp on what we can do to improve within the six months I have with them.

Last night Kuniko arrived home on the same train, and so we opted for an easy dinner – we bought some sushi, chicken nanba, and killed some leftovers in the fridge to make a very simple dinner. So much for my plans for a traditional Japanese meal. I’ll have to work it in sometime this week.

That’s all that’s news on the eastern front – not a whole lot going on this week but work and more work. A little more excitement is bound to creep into the end of the week, however.
