Nobody Ever Remembers the Day Before The Day Before A Big Trip

One of the good things about teaching nine classes a day essentially back-to-back is that the time flies by. I go in, have some coffee, set up the computer and the classroom, and then it is teaching time. And before I know it, it is time to go home. So time is always flying, and when you are at work that is a very good thing.

Usually just before a big trip time slows down and makes everything seem to last too long, but at this job it is just a matter of getting to work, sitting down, and then you’re done.

Tonight after work I’ll join a summer party at work, then head home and start packing. We also need to drop by the Yamaji household to give them details about watering our plants while we’re away. So it should be a low-key evening.

Tomorrow morning Kuniko works, so we’ll meet in Kobe and then head over to the airport. If I don’t have time to blog tomorrow, the next post you should see will be at the end of August. I’ll do my best to blog it all when I get back, but I have a feeling it will take some time.
