So I’ve started a new job recently in Kobe, and that will involve a daily commute and “real job” full-time hours. Yesterday was my first day, and I spent the whole day getting to know my new students, and getting to know the lay of the land in and around the office.
The lessons are individual lessons in 45 minute blocks, so just as you and the student are warming up to each other it is time to go. I’m used to teaching 90 minute and 120 minute classes – so this is something I’ll need to get used to.
Since we’re both working all day Kuniko and I have re-instituted the morning bento making, and it is really nice to have a homemade meal in the middle of the day again. So far, so good – more updates as classes continue this week.
