Holy Crap – An Update

All is well here in Kobe-land, and both work and home life are moving along swimmingly. In fact, work is going so quickly that I’m beginning to worry about my retirement age. Since I spend every day speaking with people constantly (9 students over 8 hours) it makes the time pass. As soon as the first student arrives for class I know that I’ll be out the door and heading home soon.

The iPhone has also been great. At least it has been great until the first bill hits. We’ll see how reasonable it is then. There are a few interesting applications, especially ones designed specifically for Japan, and it has been fun exploring those. Kuniko is still getting used to me having the internet at my fingertips – it’ll take some getting used to.

Friday night Kuniko is going off to stay in Kyoto with her college friends (and our Xmas party regulars) Chiemi, Chu-chu and Ai, which leaves me partying with Yoshi that night in Sannomiya. Who knows what kind of trouble we might get into… but we’re both old married guys so I don’t think we’ll make any visits to the topless snack or the girl bars. Just good food and drink, I’m guessing.

We’re also trying to gather Christmas presents for the great shipment early next month, as well as get a design together for our New Year’s cards and also start to think about exactly what we’ll do in Thailand during our week long visit. So plenty of things on the horizon – just the way we like it.
