Sleep Patterns

While it is easy to remember summer months in Japan as waking up bathed in sweat, or taking a shower and then stepping outside and needing another one, one thing I always kind of forget is the change in how long we sleep.

In the winter it is very hard to get out of bed, and it is a struggle to get out of bed before 6:00 a.m. But now we’ve been getting up before 5 a.m. every day – no alarm required. It’s nice to be up and at ’em without effort every day.

Today after work Kuniko will attend a baking class, so that means that I’m on my own for dinner. I’m torn between stopping somewhere on the way home or scrounging up some leftovers around the house…
